TROPICAL DISEASE RESEARCH (TDR) funds specific research projects in diseases of
poverty. It is a collaboration between World Health Organization(WHO) , United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the World Bank and hosted by WHO.

- A collaborative initiative on CL clinical trial methodology to improve the way treatments It is a collaboration between TDR (the WHO-based Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases), DNDi (Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative), and The Global Health Network at the University of Oxford to study Cutaneous Leishmaniasis. - Short-term training grants for research capacity strengthening and knowledge management (2015).It is short-term training grant scheme is designed to help health researchers or research teams contribute more effectively to disease control .The eligible candidates are citizens from a low- and middle-income country (LMIC) and resident there among others.
