Grants for Postgraduate Career Development

The African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC) a pan-African research institution headquartered in Nairobi, in partnership with the International development Research Centre (IDRC), has announced the 2015 African Doctoral Dissertation Research Fellowships. The Program, eighth in series is meant for doctoral students with strong commitment to a career in training and/or research. The applicant to the program must be citizens or permanent residents of a sub-Saharan African country among others. Award to each doctoral student is to the maximum of  US$10,000. Deadline for application is by 11:59pm (Nairobi time) on January 15, 2015. Click here for full official details

THE MATSUMAE INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION(MIT) based in Japan has open call for  RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM 2016. The applicant must hold  a Ph.D. (Doctorate) degree, equivalent academic qualifications(acceptable to MIT) among other qualifications. The research project by the awardee would be in Japan .The deadline for application is on August 31, 2015. Click here for full official details
