Hipporates in Images

Hippocrates was born on Island of  Kos(Cos) off the coast of Greece where . He was also trained in the asklepieion(healing Temple) of Kos of that time.

 Hippocrates was born  around  460 B.C and died 370 BC. He was an  ancient Greek physician of the  Classical Age. He is acknowledged presently as Father of Orthodox Medicine.

The original Hippocrates Oath was credited to Hippocrates although the current version have been modified over and over.

 Hippocrates was highly regarded by latter day Arabian and Roman Scholars. Hippocrates himself had written may books.During Abbasid caliphs era many Hellenistic scholastic material were translated for use of their scholars. Aphorisms (sayings) of Hippocrates was one of the book of Hippocrates which was translated and commentary was produced around it. These Arabian Commentators and translator help the Hellenistic heritage preservation.
