Time for the Reward!

Alexander von Humboldt Foundation's Georg Forster Research Award nomination is currently open to outstanding researchers from a developing country. The nomination to the Foundation is to be by the researcher's institution. The award is EUR 60,000 and tax exempt under the German law. Other benefits include opportunity to conduct research with specialist colleagues in Germany among others. The deadline for nomination for the current award is 15 January 2015. What Reference Manager do you use?(1)

What Reference Manager do you use in during your research project, preparing your academic articles or other articles? Reference Manager or Bibliographic Manager is a reference Management software which help store and manage your reference or bibliographic database.So at the start of your 

research project it is excellent to have a reference Manager software to store and manage your research.Not only can it store references, it can also retrieve references from bibliographic data base.

 It help  a researcher while writing his article manage all the references accurately and ensure proper citing thus saving you the stress of manually doing same.Some annotate your PDFs files and help create a searchable library.

 Generally they can handle the different referencing styles. Thus taking away the headache of the different referencing styles- intra-style or inter-style.

 It also help multiple researchers share a central database of references and aids adding and editing records of mutiple workers at the same time. Some may even allow publishing the reference database to intranet or internet e.g Reference Manager. 

 Other features that some have include allowing collaboration on research assignment and tag your highlight on your PDFs. Others can even site images or objects and cite in Word document while you write.
