TDR Research fundings for clinicians and researchers

TROPICAL DISEASE RESEARCH (TDR) funds specific research projects in diseases of
molecle
poverty. It is a collaboration between World Health Organization(WHO) , United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the World Bank and hosted by WHO.
There are currently the following grants under the programme 

  • A collaborative initiative on CL clinical trial methodology to improve the way treatments It is a collaboration between TDR (the WHO-based Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases), DNDi (Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative), and The Global Health Network at the University of Oxford to study Cutaneous Leishmaniasis. Eligible people include Researchers,Doctors and Nurses. Click here to full details.The closing date of application is 22 March 2015, 12:00 (GMT).
  • Short-term training grants for research capacity strengthening and knowledge management (2015).It is short-term training grant scheme is designed to help health researchers or research teams contribute more effectively to disease control .The eligible candidates are  citizens from a low- and middle-income country (LMIC) and resident there among others.
